Positioning Support for people cared for in bed

Sleep positioning systems, such as POZ IN FORM provide support, positioning and comfort to individuals who are cared for in bed,  or have difficulty sleeping due to various medical conditions.

These systems are designed to help maintain body alignment and range of movement, reduce pressure, shear and friction on vulnerable areas of the body, prevent skin breakdown, and improve overall comfort.

POZ’ IN’ FORM itself is a sleep positioning system that consists of a series of positioning cushions, bolsters, and pads that can be adjusted to support the individual in supine and side lying.

It is customisable to meet the unique needs of each client, and it can be used for both short-term and long-term care.

The system is particularly useful for individuals who are cared for in bed or have limited mobility due to medical conditions such as neurological conditions, spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, arthritis or dementia.

POZ’ IN’ FORM can also be used to support individuals who have undergone surgery and need to remain in bed for an extended period.

Using POZ’ IN’ FORM can provide numerous benefits for the individual and their caregivers. These benefits include:

  1. Improved comfort and sleep quality: By providing proper support and alignment, sleep positioning systems can help individuals sleep better and more comfortably.
  2. Reduced pressure on vulnerable areas: For individuals who are cared for in bed, pressure ulcers can be a serious concern. Sleep positioning systems can help reduce pressure on vulnerable areas of the body, such as the hips and shoulders, to prevent the development of pressure ulcers.
  1. Improved breathing and digestion: Certain sleep positions can help improve breathing and digestion for individuals with medical conditions such as sleep apnoea or acid reflux.
  2. Easier transfers and repositioning: Sleep positioning systems can make it easier for caregivers to transfer and reposition individuals in bed, reducing the risk of injury to both the individual and the caregiver.

POZ’ IN’ FORM can be a valuable tool for Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Nurses and Caregivers. The system can improve comfort, prevent skin breakdown, and reduce the risk of other medical complications, ultimately improving the quality of life for individuals in their care.
